Golf is a globally renowned sport that has been played for many centuries. Once considered a game exclusively for the social elite, the onset of globalisation has seen the sport become more accessible to the general public over the course of past century. It has been this increase in accessibility that has made golf into the global sport that it is recognised as today creating legends such as Nick Faldo, Arnold Palmer, Tiger Woods and more.

The Roots

Using SK’s Ethos as a guide to stride forwards, the shoots for SK Sport began back in 2002 where our founder assisted an underprivileged golfer with immense talent to realise his dream. This golfer is Tommy Fleetwood a very talented golfer for whom SK Sport assisted a programme to meet Tommy’s portfolio requirement since the age of 11. Since then Tommy has become one of the top professional golfers on the European Tour, confirming our beliefs and ethos, inspiring our desire to go further in helping more people like Tommy. As a non profit making arm of SK Corporation Limited, the aim is to help individuals who have a dream to be the best in their chosen sports.

Funding

The earlier you begin to master the skill the greater the chance of success. As with most sports funding is the key to starting the grueling apprenticeship, unless you are very wealthy gaining that funding for the programme is like begging on the street. SK sport is a self maintained fund drawing resources from our network of sponsors to achieve a selective tailor made programme to begin that apprenticeship. Providing valuable guidance from our wealth of experiences during our time with Tommy.
