A new style of competition that has emerged with modern technological advances in internet speeds and the increasing ease of accessibility to computers and consoles. Esports or electronic sports is where players and teams participate in competitions while using certain games as a medium to compete on. There are many games compteted on in the world of Esports, but the twomost common genres are First Person Shooters (FPS), and Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA).

From Golf to Esports

Golf is the foundation of SK Sport, it was that chance meeting with Tommy that made SK Sport possible. As the company evolved, in 2015 SK Sport was officially formed from working SK with MnM Gaming. Traditionally Esports has been looked as an odd activity,, where players are seen as outsiders. With stereotyping by other members of society, the misunderstood perception has made them to believe Esports is unhealthy and mind twisting.

With our field knowledge we have the ability to apply SK’s ethos into the game so players can benefit from our philosophies and beliefs, as well as manage players to realise their dream. Esports is getting bigger and is now being featured on Turner TV and Sky Sports, we have been given an opportunity to work with members of the Esports community.

Funding

SK Sport’s funding derives from its sponsors and also the team’s staff giving their free time to run the teams under management. As SK Sport is a non profit organisation, all the net prize monies are returned to the players who participated in the competition. Our aim is to raise the profile of the team assisting them to achieve their dream in becoming the top players in the world. As our parent company grows our funding will grow too providing more opportunity for dreamers to realise their dream.

Our increasing ability to draw internationally renowned personalities as our ambassadors, has given us the ability to raise more funding channelling the proceeds to help the sporting community. Tommy has already offered, and we believe he will be one of those many internationally renowned personalities contributing their valuable assets for society to benefit from. This great understanding from Tommy is something we proudly accept with admiration.
